I manage a network that spans two cities over an OpenVPN Layer 2 tunnel. At each end, the tap0 interface is bridged to the em1 interface (internal network). All traffic flows fine. Great. We added a VLAN (VLAN20) with em1 as its parent on both ends. Encapsulated 802.1Q packets traverse the bridge from em1 to tap0 and through the tunnel. Bueno.
